Camera work for our final piece

Camera Work

Pan

At the start of our title sequence we are going to use a pan as our establishing shot of Haytor rock on Dartmoor.

Camera Shakes

At another point in our scene, to contrast from the happy to sad situations, we are going to have the camera shake and then crash to the floor.

Close ups

We are going to use close ups of our characters to introduce them with their titles on the screen at the same time, at angles similar to this. However when we film this the characters will not be looking at the camera.
We are also going to use a close up, slightly closer this time, when Ida turns around to see Lily's face in the shot.

Extreme Close Up

There will be an extreme close up of Ida's eyes as she looks around to see what's going on and where the noise is coming from.

Hand Held camera work

We are going to use hand held camera work when Lily is chasing Ida. The camera will be from Lily's Point Of View, showing Ida running through the woods away from whatever is chasing her. We used an example of this in our Preliminary film, as shown below from 1.45 to 1.47. However, for our final piece the camera will be slightly further away than in this clip, showing Ida's full body.

Long Shot

We will use a long shot when Ida, Teagan and Keira run down the hill, showing how empty their surroundings are and how alone they are. The girls will run past the camera and the camera will then either cut to follow them, using the 180 degree rule, or pan around to follow the girls down the hill.
